Welcome to West Action online, helping the community across South West Scotland. We provide community interaction in conjunction with West FM and West Sound AM in Ayrshire, and South West Sound FM in Dumfries and Galloway. Broadcasting social action appeals for local groups and charities, and organising fundraising appeals throughout the year.

About West Action
West Action is the social action department of West Sound radio. Although based in the station, the West Sound Community Access Project actually independently runs it.

West Sound Community Access Project is a not-for-profit voluntary organisation dedicated to meeting the needs of the communities in South West Scotland.

West Action is the broadcasting arm of the project and we provide a free helpline service for local groups and charities. We additionally provide information on a wide range of subjects through our social action campaigns.

Since 1997 West Action has been working for you by providing free access to the airwaves of West Sound, West FM and South West Sound FM for many groups throughout Ayrshire and Dumfries & Galloway, and raising money for Cash For Kids every Christmas.
